Race and Rock Fest Throttles Up for Speedweeks 2007

DAYTONA BEACH - The heart of Speedweeks 2007 beats to a new rhythm for Valentine¹s Day with the announcement of Race and Rock Fest downtown on Beach Street a few days before the Daytona 500.

Progressive Edge, a local sports- and entertainment-marketing firm with a national reach, is partnering with the city of Daytona Beach to introduce the inaugural Race and Rock Fest. This event will feature two days of high-octane excitement with concerts from music lesgends and today¹s hottest performers, as well as NASCAR driver appearances, show cars, sponsor exhibits, midway-style rides and games.

Race and Rock Fest will take center stage February 13-14 on Beach Street in the core of the city's historic shopping, dining and entertainment district from 3 to 11 p.m. each day. With the launch of Race and Rock Fest, race fans visiting Daytona Beach for the races and the local community now have an interactive entertainment option. Race and Rock Fest will be Speedweeks' most dominant off-track entertainment venue. Admission and select parking are free.
